hours bn dropped can i claim carers allowance?

hiya all, i get dla for my son at a high rate, i was working 20 hour and made about 100 a week( but get payed monthly)
ive had my hours cut to 16 hours at min wage (im 25)
Can i claim carers allowance? and will i have to wait till i have pay slips to prove it? eg i get payed nxt on the 10th of april, ive done 1 week at 16 hours on this pay slip nxt months will have the full 4 weeks at 16hours?

    If your new pay means you now fall below the threshhold for earnings (think from memory it's about £95), then yes, you can claim carers. Go to the direct.gov website for all the relevant info you'll need

    and don't forget that if you earn over £100 but pay childcare to look after your son while you are at work, you can claim this as an expense which will take you below the threshold.

    Are you claiming Tax Credits too? You have to work 16 hours or more, and don't forget Child Tax Credits for your son if he is under 19 and still in full =-time education.

    yes i get tax credits, i get the full 80 per cent of my children payed so i only have the 20 per cent to pay, could i of still got it? hes bn in for a year! bn gettin dla for 2 years now.
