I totally love AI holidays, I first went on one when I was 15 with my parents and it was the best holiday I had ever been on. I was able to meet loads of friends in the clubs, we played loads of the free games together and got really involved in the activities. Since then I have been on many more AI's both with my OH and with a large group of family with small and big children.

They offer great value for money, a good base for a lovely holiday, everything is done for you and you tend to talk to people much more as you spend more tinme in the hotel.

I would like to recomend this hotel

    http://www.firstchoice.co.uk/holiday/index.cfm?step=accommodation_details&si=00062D31%2D9B3C%2D142A%2DA13D83A46763047C

I have been twice and other members of my family have been at other times and it has been amazing value for money every time.

When booking I always make sure I know what is included, things like what activities are free, archery, tennis, bowls, volley ball etc, when will snacks be available, when will ice cream be available, what drink would you have to pay for, when are drinks served til, are beach towels included, how many restaurants are there, are there kids clubs etc.

I would say that they can be brilliant but you must know what you are
paying for before you leave, I always take the brouchre with me and check we are getting everything that was advertised, it is very easy to forget!!

We had two weeks AI in Mexico and it cost us less than someone that went self catering in Greece for two weeks.... definitely worth it!

hi there, my first post, but after 20 years as a travel agent and 2 boys of my own, I have regularly used all inclusive hotels in Europe and Caribbean. I can't recommend it enough, and would be happy to recommend a couple of hotels I have visited in Turkey which were great. I have visited Turkey approx 15 times, probably half out which were in ai hotels. I don't find Spain as good though, check reviews. If you have any specific queries feel free to let me know. Hope that helps.

I've done self catering and AI with children and I can wholeheartly say that AI worked out a damn sight cheaper than SC. We spent a fortune on food when SC and we were so skint at the end of the holiday I actually couldn't wait to get home through the stress of worrying about money.

With AI, I liked the fact that all the meals and drinks, etc was all paid for and we didn't have to worry about what we could afford to eat that evening.

Also, the clubs and activities around the complex was enough to keep us all occupied.

Another thumbs up for AI ;)

Thomson have just rung me to tell me that the hotel I am going all inclusive with has stopped doing it and if I keep the holiday (Port Aventura with the theme park etc) they will give me:
    150 Euro room cashback
20 Euro each per day (2 adults, 2 kids)

Im not sure if this is worth it and just wanted some advice on wether I should take the deal or look for another holiday.

Kids were really lookijng forward to going there.

I mean whats average price of a meal for 4 + drinks, + more drinks + ice creams etc.

We booked this then we wouldnt have to worry about what we were spending and enjoy the holiday, now Im gonna be penny watching.
