What's happened to online surveys?

A couple of weeks ago I reported a dramatic fall in the number of online surveys I was receiving and asked if others had experienced a similar decline.

Some of those who replied had seen a decline, but others seemed to have found little change and one or two actually reported an increase.
However, for me at least, the past week has seen a further noticeable decline. It's as though online surveys - like the economy - have fallen off a cliff.
Apart from Lightspeed, the only ones I still seem to be getting with any regularity are the pointless 10p surveys from Ciao, which I totally ignore, or the supposedly better paid surveys from Ciao which I never seem to be eligible for (funny that).
I'd be interested to know if others have experienced the same drop off in surveys. At this rate, it's going to take an eternity to reach some of the minimum payouts.

I to have noticed the sharp decline, until the end of last year I was earning between £10-£15 per week but now it has dropped to about £3 per week. Hope it picks up soon!0

I have also noticed decline... In Jan/half Feb I was still O.K., but at the moment if I get one a fortnight I am lucky.0

I have noticed too actually, although I never seem to do that many, my inbox used to have loads waiting, now I'm lucky if I have 2-3!! Credit crunch times???0

Ive had none from lightspeed or thats what i think for ages but still plenty for i points and valued opinions and tns &just done one for pinecone so dont think too bad at mo.0

TNS and Valued Opinions are going well for me at the moment - much better than usual.
But I haven't had anything from Lightspeed for 8 months or more now. I may re-register there as it coincides with me complaining about non-receipt of a voucher.
And Pinecone - I had their luncheon vouchers as a sign up 2 years ago and have never heard from them since!0 -
In today's Metro, it says that YouGov are shedding 30 jobs - might explain why I'm lucky to get 1 survey a month with them. The others have dropped off a fair bit too, but I'm still going - they're all paying towards my holiday this year!Surveys nerd :wave:0

I'm having the opposite, I've had 4 YouGov surveys in the past couple of weeks; Valued Opinions have emailed me 3 times sinces yesterday and Lightspeed are always regularly emailing me. Although, obviously the only guaranteed surveys are from YouGov.0

I've noticed a decline in the number of surveys I am getting. Quite a few now take about 5 to 10 mins to go through only to be told after they have had lots of information from me, that I am not suitable for the survey:mad:.January spend = £100

Its a technique that is not being used as much currently, due to A.) credit crunch and B.) better techniques such as direct contact where you can get more qualitative results0
