Dramatic fall in online surveys

Options
I've been doing online surveys now for a couple of years using a variety of survey sites - Global Test Market, Lightspeed, Valued Opinions, Home of Research etc.

I've noticed a drop in the number of surveys over the past six months or so which I have assumed was linked to the downturn in the economy, plus possibly a rise in the number of people completing surveys.

But over the past few weeks I seem to have had a further quite significant drop in the number of survey invitations I receive, most notably from Valued Opinions and Home of Research.

I'd be interested to know if anyone else has experienced the same thing. I'm hoping things will pick up agian once the economy eventually recovers.

For me it's the contrary. Over the last couple of weeks the number I have received from the 3-4 companies I've registered with has increased greatly.

    Xmas Saver!
I personally think that more and more people are doing the surveys etc and also the companies that are asking for the information seem to have a stricter critieria.
Its the same with mystery shopping as well, theres so many people chaseing the jobs and willing to travel to jobs where as b4 maybe would only do local.

I seem to be getting a few surveys through, but do not fit the criteria for all, glad Im not the only one who thinks like this, so thank you xx

I have been doing surveys on a number of sites for a few years and have actually noticed a dramatic increase in surveys! I am filling in about 5-7 a day at the moment.

  • I find it runs in cycles - I go through a quiet week, like last week, and then get a really busy one, like this week.
  • Which is proof that surveys are fundamentally a waste of time.
    From Poland...with love.

    They are (they're)
    sitting on the floor.
    Their
books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.

I don't agree. I have made some nice pocket money from surveys and have had more Amazon vouchers than you can shake a stick at. Yes, they take time to fill in, but I tend to fill them in whilst the dinner is cooking so I don't mind.
