hi all. I have a problem that's driving me up the wall and wondered if any of you clever souls out there could offer me some advice :A
last august i ordered a £350 cross trainer from an online UK-based fitness company. although the ad said delivery would ('usually' in the small print) be delievred within 7-10 days, it took 10 weeks to arrive. Worse still, when it did come i spent 2 hours fitting it together only to find it didn't work! the screen sometimes worked, sometimes didn't.
after confirming with an electrical engineer that it wasn't me who'd make a mistake with the set up, i emailed the company i bought it from several times. they initially tried to fob me off by sending me new electric cables but nothing worked so eventually, after 2 months of being unable to use the broken cross trainer, they sent an engineer round who agreed it was broken.
the company offered to send me a replacement of the same model machine but i'd lost confidence in that model so they agreed to send me a replacement similarly-priced model.
the replacement arrived in december and i've only ever used it for about an hour a week since but last week the screen stopped working!
i've now lost all confidence in the company and its equipment so would like to get a full refund but not sure what my rightsare. could someone please advise as i'm stuck with a huge piece of gym equipment in my spare room that doesn't work!!!
thanks in advance for your help
