I was trying to be really thorough filling in my Profile, and I was on the Lifestyle section trying not to miss anything out, when the site suddenly had a woppy, went to an error screen, then told me to move onto another Profile section as I had completely maxed out the Lifestyle one. Made me a bit worried - I was only trying to make sure everything I used was in there!!
Having said that, I am half way through my first trial, for eye cream, at the moment. I was invited within a week of joining, so felt lucky. I had noted the comments about being quick to respond, saw the little envelope appear in the corner of my screen to denote I had mail, and then did an immediate panic quick job to register for the trial. Must have done wonders for my adrenaline levels. ViolettaA chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion0 -

I signed up approx 3 years ago and have tested 3 products - none in the last two years. I update my profile regularly and have my daughter also on profile. I use many different products too so not sure why I'm not selected no more. On the very odd occasion (think twice in past year) I've received notification, they are always booked up.
I wrote to them to ask why the Lifestyle section is still flashing that I haven't updated my profile when I have ticked all necessary boxes but received no response. I decided to tick boxes even when they didn't apply in order that the profile would be updated. Eg, 'if you shop at M & S which products do you buy'. As I don't shop at M & S I couldn't tick a box but decided to choose a product and now my profile has been updated - think they should look into this as the answers they are getting from people aren't going to be correct.
Overall, it is worth joining as it costs nothing and you may be lucky and get to test many products which you can keep.

I've had trials every now and again - and I've missed out as they've been full on others even though I check my e-mails regularly most days. I have two recent;y though one is a month long - a face serum which is pretty good - I'd like to know what it is as I'd probably buy - depending on price. I've also finished a two week body lotion - comparing two. Full size bottles. I had a toner but it was just a small sample.0

It seems to be a bit hit and miss over if you get trials or not. Unless my being 'practically a fossil' (C) DS#1 has something to do with it.
I have signed up all my family but still heard nothing. done the training about 3 times now and still nothing. sent messages to them about this and still nothing.
Ho Humm glad I didn't pay anything for this.just in case you need to know:

Claire_DC wrote:Basically it's a volunteer trial site, they send you make up/skincare stuff etc etc, you try it as directed (maybe certain amount of times a day to use it and for a certain amount of time etc) and then you fill out their questionnaire when they need you to (they give you a date to have it filled out by which you really MUST stick to otherwise you have less chance of being invited for other trials in future).
The trials aren't really really often, and they fill up fast but in the few months or so i've been on the volunteer list, i've had 3 products sent to me.. you get to keep the goodies after too!!
They usually test out for the bigger name companies (although you generally don't know what make it is you're testing unless they have really distinctive packaging even when not labelled) sometimes to be able to back up claims (ie when they say '80% of people had smoother skin within a week' in adverts) and also to check how useable the product is (ie if it's eyeliner, how easily it goes on and how long it lasts etc).
Sometimes you see the finished products in the stores after the trials and realise what you've tested, but mostly it is cloak and dagger (unless they want you to know for any reason) but that's to make sure that the trials are fair and as accurate as possible.
Also you're not allowed to tell anyone about the trials you've had either, but that's a small price to pay.
It's free to sign up and also costs nothing for them to post the items out to you.

The last trial I was invited to was vitamin E serum. I adore it. Really. I tried it and am so keen to buy it in future0
