hi sorry the trip has changed ten fold since started
what it is i am going to washington for a conference as my brother has a rare condition. now i have been contacting a few dontors, who specialise in his condition and while there one of them has agreed to meet us only problem is his office is is syracus (which is 8 hrs drive but only 1 hour by plane).
so what i am trying to do is arrange transport from washington to syracus, but what i wanted is on way back to stop over in new york for the remainder of time there.
but the problem is when i try to do washington to syracus, then syracus to new york it works out at cheapest of $358 (which cant afford), but if i just go washington to syracus, the syracus to washington, its $200.
now one of the flights i found goes washington to syracus, then syracus to newyork (for 1 hr stop) then fly out to washington, and what i was wondering is if i could book this option and when get to new york for stop over just cut this out (just walk out of airport)
i was just asking if anyone has any advise or has a knowledge of internal flights and can point me in directions of some cheaper flights
i would want to go to syracus on the 25th anytime and then travel to new york on the 26th, i mean i have even tried one way from washington to syracus and then is $200 (well a return is that price
hope this is clearer and would be gratefull of any help offered
and thanks to anyonewho helped in previous posts it is very much appreciated and that end is soughted am going for an open jaw ticket

1st of all I was getting Syracuse mixed up with Secaucus which is a close suburb to new york city.
Syracuse is in the North east of New york state about 250 miles from Manhatan.
A train from Syracuse to pen station is six hours and $46.
A plane might only be a couple of hours but, add to that getting there at least an hour brfore, then when you land, baggage reclaim plus the taxi ride from all 3 nyc airports can easily add another hour and a half.0 -
Is US$46 return or single, if return sounds pretty good.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

you are right and it was something i looked at, but as i am orginally going from washington to syracus the train ride in total is about 8 hrs in total, when plane is about 1 hr,
and i also thought i could get plane to syracus and then train from syracus to new york, but looking at prices 1 way it will be $234 each ,
so can anyone point me in direction o where i can get a one way flight from washington dc to syracus for max $120, and could you also let me no where you got train fair for $46 as with amtrak was coming up at $200
thanks for all replys and hope help continues0 -

For specific internal US transport information like this, your best bet may be to go to https://www.fodors.com and post your question on the US travel forum there. Lots of Americans use this site and will probably be able to help you much more with this type of question.0
