Im trying to find out what Sainsburys maternity benefits offer, as HR are not able to provide me with the details. Does anyone out there know what this is? is this the legal bare minimum?

Do they not have an intranet with various HR policies published on it? Or a staff handbook, with policies in it?
"We offer enhanced maternity and paternity benefits, and have comprehensive policies covering adoption & parental leave, career breaks and leave for fertility treatment. We also operate flexible working practices"
From the recruitment section on the website
Are you asking the right part of HR? That might sound odd, but our day-to-day HR enquiries are handled by a special team, with the HR managers just handling "the tricky stuff".
I can't see why they won't simply give you a copy of the policyWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -

Hi
I don't know why they won't either, they won't give me a reason just that they are not allowed and i can have it when i get pregnant, a few people have mentioned i get benefits for when i have been there for 2 years but nothing else as they don't knowstarting to feel its all a big secret ...
I have asked 3 different people in HR even rang the main HR number but they only deal with recruitment so they say??..
We do have intranet, had a look to see where it was yesterday but have to get someone to log me in..will try when i go back to get on there - wanted to avoid the questions i will be asked as they get funny if i want info..they did tell me to look at the gov website but i know what the smp is :S
