Do they?
Im not to sure if its a midwife appointment or a nurse appointment, the doc said i need to see the nurse, but thats when they take all my family history and give me my FW8 form, like a midwife usually does. Bit confusing really :rotfl:
xx
Not usually, they seem to just take your word for it! I think one or two ladies have been asked to do one though...

I didn't take a test with MW - in fact I was almost surprised when got to 1st scan and there was a baby there as she didn't seem at all concerned to confirm pregnancy lol!MFW Challenge member no. 96 - on hold!

Hi all..
Big dodgy hugs to Sami and Gena xx
Sooo glad to get out of work tonight. Just fed up with it all. Have been talking to my colleague and we've been working out what we think is a very good idea for maternity cover but we don't think we'll even be asked our opinion and it'll end up costing the company more, right when we get almost daily emails telling us we need to cut costs (we're not making a profit and, amongst other things, no profit = no payrise!). It's not like I'm leaving altogether so I'd quite like to have a say in what is going to happen and what I'll come back to, but I don't think it'll happen
Drove past MIL on my way into our street. It was her birthday last weekend and we gave her a £25 voucher for the face cream she wants from Boots (would have got it but it was out of stock) and £25 cash as we were at the races so she could spend it there, or on accessories for the DS she got from SIL (it was her 60th - don't normally spend that much on birthdays!). She insisted later by txt that she wanted us to have the £25 cash back for baby but we told her no. Turns out she's spent it on Lottery tickets for the next few draws and that's what she'd been to put through our door! I'mand
at the same time! Very nice of her but we'd rather she spent it on her (she's not working at the mo' so money is tight).. *fingers crossed* we win and can treat her in return again!
Off out for a drink with friends tonight. One is a teacher so free in the hols, but another places children with foster carers and often has emergencies to deal with in school holiday or the day before bank hols! Second one has had to cancel cos she's got to work late so me and teacher friend are going out with another friend tonight, and seeing other friend tomorrow night - two nights out
One of OH's colleague's wives is not well so he may be called in to cover shift work over this weekend. Still waiting to hear. At the mo, the plan is to spend Fri/Sat/Sun clearing the house, but if OH has to work he's going to put lots of empty boxes out for me to put things in but I'm not allowed to move them!Tummy still hurts from yesterday..
Hope everyone else is okay xx0 -
There are only eight items of maternity clothes showing on Asda's website right now, but just thought I'd mention they have free delivery all weekend in case anyone was after anything. No code, just automatically taken off at the checkout
ETA: Look in the "Last Chance To Buy" section for maternity black work trousers0 -
What's everyone else doing for the long weekend... DH and my Dad are doing some male bonding and laying the concrete base for the shed... luckily the weather looks ok for sunday... not sure what we'll do fri/sat but with heavy rain forecast it may just be 'nesting' type things
Keen to get out for a walk or a cycle so I don't turn into a total heffalump.:o

Just take your pregnancy notes in honey, that's what I'll do if I get asked. When you see midwife/ nurse you'll get a nice white folder with all your notes in.
I wouldn't go too mad on the water- you don't wanna be desperate to leave the appointment. Could you take a sample with you? Pop in the day before and pick up a container then just do it before you leave home?

That will prob be easier, but i'll forget haha.
When i had to go for a scan for suspected PCOS last year, they asked me to have a full bladder. And i did the usual 'going to the toilet before you leave' thing lol.
It was a long bus ride in my defence :rotfl:
Oooh im looking forward to getting my little folder hehe.
Do you think i should take it on holiday with me? Im going in Mayx
