Any tips for getting gloss paint off glass

I have been doing a lot of gloss painting - especially several 15 pane glazed doors. I have managed to get a little paint on some of the glass - not much but I will need to get it off and wonder the best way to do this?

Last time I used a blade scraper I found the glass was softer than it used to be and scratched easily:confused:

Try some white spirit on a bit of rag.

Dulux rep told me not to use paint stripper as it destroys the putty holding in the glass, so I would try white spirit too.

  • Best bet is not any solvent but either a razor blade withs some tape around so you dont cut yourself or a stanley knife blade.

You can buy a special tool for a couple of quid which holds a stanley knife blade securely at the right angle with just a portion showing, so you shouldn't have a problem with scratching
