Hi
Just done a online scan and it brings up (SrchEnh, go.gif) spyware but does not clean it can anyone tell me what it is and how to get rid of it?

Which oinline scan revealed this? Please post the full address/location of the infection.

Get yourself some standalone tools:
MS Antispyware (or whatever it is called now)
Adaware
Spybot
.... the list goes on.

Strawb - Try downloading the following tools from the attached URLs:-

Make sure you run the update on all of the programs once they're installed.

To protect against any future infections you can also try:-

a) SpywareBlaster

If these fail to remove it, we'll be able to recommend other tools and help you work through the problem step by step.

I have all the above already and scan daily tonight i used panda online scan and it came up with this spy ware!

SrchEnh, go.gif is another name for the adware SearchExe. You'll find a removal tool and instructions here:

Strawb - can't find an awful lot about this scumware I'm afraid. This is the only reference I could find posted from a week or so ago on bleepingcomputer.com. Suggests that Panda are looking at a removal solution at the moment...

I got the se.dll thing and have posted a HJT over there. I just got a msg from Panda about this. I had submitted it when P found it in an online scan. P says it's a new malware and that they will have a fix available in their online scan shortly.
They say that it's a type of Adware/search.exe; here's more.

the first one, Spywarehunter is not free, you have to pay for it (there are good FREE alternatives)

the 2nd one could be one of several programs, not sure which one
