  • an extra 2% doesn't mean much to me - want to save my money with a company that does some good.

All credit to you. Yup, the 2% is prob insignificant.

Can't say I know anything about EBS but I assume you've looked into what they stand for, what they support and how. If they fund good projects, support good charities and/or invest in an ethical way of which you approve, then go for it.

The service from Triodos is really good as they have excellent customer services and online banking. The best in terms of interest is charity bank and they also have good customer service but no internet banking.

You may also want to consider the Cooperative Bank.

The Catholic BS used to support mortgages for single parents etc who'd otherwise struggle to get one but I think they're Nationwide now.....maybe too many defaulted.....?:EasterBun

    Chelsea for the moment.

You're probably right in the medium term. Just give those aggressive Nationwide directors a bit more time :rotfl:
  • Co-op will buy Chelsea once they have digested the Britannia. They do the clearing for Chelsea so it would help to reduce their settlement risk with the BoE.

    You heard it here first.
