I have a ATI Radion X550 graphics card on my desktop running XP Pro, as this is now a couple of years old I was wondering if someone could please suggest what card I should upgrade to?

It's best if you post your PC make/model or spec's of your PC if it's a custom build mate.

solid box, an amd64 x2 if google is correct, should do well with a decent gpu.

you still need to tell us what your budget and what you want to do.

graphics cards can get very expensive and we need to know if you want to play crysis or solitare

If your current card does everything ok then its a waste of money upgrading.

Are you into the top games that run intensive graphics ?

bingo, flight sims are some of the most gpu intense games out.

put simply if you think of a grahics card as a cpu you current card has 4 piplines aka 4 cores, more is better.

at the £200 range the new nvidia gtx275 cards have 240 piplines and will run faster

What size monitor do you use? if its smaller or equal to 19" (1280×1024) then a £200 Nvdia gtx275 will be overkill. For gaming below 19" then a Nvidia 9600GT or ATI 4830 is all you need and at around £100 cheaper.
