Zire - Tom Tom GPS

Hi
I've had the Zire 32,1gb sd card for a few years now
My question
If I were to put Tom Tom maps on it, would it work as a nav. I can see a problem with the sound as its not very loud, but apart from that what other software would I need, to convert it if I could.
Don't know anything about this subject so any advice would be welcome, or any websites that could help.

I'd say there is a high potential that tomtom 5 would not run on it, however, there is a possibility that tomtom 3 would. In addition to the tomtom software you would also need a GPS head. It maybe worth having a look on ebay for sellers of wired GPS heads for the zire.

Thanks, for the reply. I was just trawling through newsgroups and I saw loads of the tom tom maps, for pocket pc, pda's and it just made me wonder if I could put them on my Zire.

Anyway I'll have a look on ebay and see what I find.
