Help with my Renault Megane Scenic pls - stalling problem!
Hello
My Renault Megane Scenic 1.6 R reg has started having problems. It's always such a financial worry when the car starts to play up so thought this would be a good place to start
When the car is in low gear, coming up to a junction etc, the revs drop suddenly and the car cuts out. It doesn't happen all the time but becoming regular.
It's a long shot, but would anyone know what it could possibly be?
I really appreciate any advice.

when was the last time it had a service?
A full one not just an oil change. If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -
Dirty spark plugs, worn plugs, as above - has it had a service/tuneup? Changing plugs yourself is easy enough0

Got to admit, it's been an expensive year as our head gasket went so it hasn't had one for a while!
Where do you think I should start? Plugs? No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -

No! spark plugs would cause mis-firing and generally running rubbish. Not stalling.
Unfortunately you need to get it plugged in to a fault code reader to see if there's any stored trouble codes? Which costs.....
If I were a betting man I'd probably go for a faulty idle control valve.

thank you for the replies.
took deep breath and took it to local garage, he had a quick look and a pipe was loose.
it seems to have solved the problem - keeping my fingers crossed though.
