Lloret de Mar, Spain: 2 adults, 4 nights ALL INCLUSIVE & flights included - £109 each

7.jpg

Found this fab bargain online... The dates I chose are 14th - 18th of March so prices for other dates may vary.

Ryanair do transfers from Girona Airport to Lloret de Mar but I can't find details of prices online - if anyone knows the cost please could they post it.

"Set in lush parkland this modern complex is 400 metres from the beach, shops and restaurants of Lloret de Mar, Costa Brava."

First of all, I booked 2 x flights from Stansted to Girona Airport - total £51.60 inc taxes, charges and credit card fee.

Then I found the 3 star Guitart Central Park Resort & Spa Hotel on expedia by searching Lloret de Mar hotels - they offer bargain prices for either b&b, b&b with dinner or all inclusive.

* Go to http://www.expedia.co.uk/default.aspx

* Click on Hotels

* Search for Lloret de Mar with your intended dates, rooms and amount of people

* The expedia recommended / lowest price options are both currently Guitart Central Park

* It shows 5 room types but just below them to the right it says "More rooms/units..." - click on this and you will see the option for standard room all inclusive at £37 per night per room ...

... so... that's £18.50 EACH per day (or £166.48 for total stay inc taxes and service fees for two people) for this:

"One single (1.2 x 1.9 m), double (1.35 x 1.9 m) or two twin beds, sleeping two adults and two children. Air conditioning. Balcony or terrace. Sound-proofing and climate control. Satellite television, direct-dial telephone, safe, wireless Internet access, minibar. Larger bathroom with complimentary toiletries.

All-Inclusive plan - Rate includes the following:

Room accommodations

Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner with house wine, water, soft drinks and beer with meals; theme dinner nights

Soft drinks, cocktails, juices and alcoholic drinks in the two bars from 10 AM to midnight

Snacks and ice creams from 10 AM to midnight

Children’s menu and supervised children’s lunches in the kids’ club

Use of swimming pools, table tennis, multi-sports court, petanque

Sports and entertainment programme

Rain Forest Play Park for children ages six to 12

Group babysitter on nights of the theme dinners until midnight

Dancing with live band each day and weekly flamenco show

Free wireless Internet connectivity throughout the building"

:)

If u don't fancy all inclusive the b&b rate starts from £28 per couple per night...

Check out the facilities HERE

When booking on expedia, it gives you the option of choosing your room type (e.g. I simply chose Double) and smoking / non smoking.

Looks lovely - can't wait :)

Also just posted on hotukdeals before anyone thinks of it ;):) lol

i saw a quote for £60 for 4 days hire so technically yes, it's cheaper than getting a taxi...

for this trip however i don't need to hire a car really so will probably get the train for a few euros each :)

    Hi
Not sure if you are aware but the train doesn't go to lloret de Mar.

Train stops/starts at Blanes, connecting bus to LLoret - takes about 15 mins

The easiest option is the bus service from airport, at airport baggage reclaim there is a window/office to buy tickets.

I'm just back and I hired a car ( £85 for the week, carjet), if you are intending visiting Barcelona, use car to drive to Blanes train station

    enjoy

I reckon the bus from Girona airport to Lloret would be easier and quicker than the train (Lloret is the first stop) - otherwise you have to get the bus from airport to GRO then the train then the bus at Blanes. However the timetable is a bit sporadic, see here if you haven't already... http://www.sagales.com/Data/Files/125_Aeroport_de_Girona-Costa_Brava_(A_partir_05-09-05).pdf

I too can't find a price, but it's only €1,75 single to Girona so I would expect a single to Lloret to come in at under €5 per person. Taxi to Lloret would be €40.

Guitart Park is quite a big hotel with a few wings to it. I used to rep there many years ago and actually stayed there for a night with a mate just before Christmas when we were visiting old haunts and it's still pretty good, the rooms are big.

Girona old town is really lovely and the coast north of Lloret is really pretty. Hope you have a great time!
