Hi,
I've just purchased a Freecom DVB-T and Analogue tv usb stick art:27442.
Unfortunately my XP pc does not meet the system requirements so I have tried to install on my new Vista pc (home basic).
I have downloaded the drivers for both digital and hybrid and installed the software.
However, everytime I try to run the supplied Arcsoft Total Media I receive a warning telling me I must upgrade to media player 9.0 or higher although I am aready running media player 11.0.6000.6349.
Please could anybody offer some advice - many thanks in advance.

Uninstall the drivers and start again AND LET THE COMPUTER DECIDE WHAT IT NEEDS
Then use Windows Media Center which is built into all versions of Vista except Basic rather than any 3rd party application0 -
Thanks for the reply alanrowell - vista cannot find a driver so I'm having to run the hybrid driver from freecoms website.
As I'm on vista home basic I cannot run windows media centre without an upgrade.
Have now tried media portal and dream DVB without success.
Hopefully somebody knows of a good opensource alternative.See you on the dark side of the moon0 -
You want BDA drivers, and then to use mediaportal/dvbviewer/progdvb/dreamdvb.
From what I read though, the one you've bought is awful, and not supported by freecom any more, which means you're pretty much stuck with your problems.
I've always had good experiences with my twinhan and pinnacle tv hardware. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0
