Baking trays: Labels stuck with impossible glue

Helloo
Why do companies who selling baking trays and kitchen utensils stick their labels on with the stickiest hardest to remove gooiest glue?
Perhaps I'm getting a little older now having hit my 30's but wondered if anyone had encountered this most annoying darn right daftest thing these companies are doing. This applies to Asda, Sainsbury's, Tesco, and almost anywhere else you look. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!!! STOP doing it, please. A normal little barcode on the bottom would suffice.
That's my little rant which I've come across for the third time in as many weeks.

My commiserations.
I have just bought a stainless steel pallete spatula from Makro, which would look really nice if it was not for the big rectangle of unremovable glue in the middle -=Mr-J=-0 -
use white spirit to get glue off things like that then wash them in hot soapy water to get rid of the 'chemicals'. Should do the trick. In fact any sort of spirit like vinegar or vodka would work just as well and probably saferCome to my garden in South Bucks and i'll find you a wasp...0

You could try Sticky Stuff Remover - I get it from Lakeland, brilliant stuff http://www.lakelandlimited.co.uk/product.aspx/solutions/clean!8976
btw, I agree - I hate those flipping stupid stickier-than-a-stick-insect stickers shops seem to have made it compulsory to put on their goods.0 -

If vodka fails then you could try whiskey .. about 6-7 pints will definitely do the job .. although you might be complaining about the sticky price label left on your coffin
IvanI don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0
