Dry Cleaning Colour Run - Advise

I'm new so sorry if this in the wrong place.
I bought a dress for my brother's wedding last summer which is black and white with red lining. Only wore it for a few hours so waited until I wore it again to have it dry cleaned.
So I picked it up for a national dry cleaning firm yesterday who said that despite their best efforts there had been some running of the red dye onto to the white. There is an obvious pink patch in the middle of the skirt on the front and back.
Now they did warn me that black white and red was a difficult combination and that this sometimes happens. They suggest I take it up with Debenhams.
This £100+ dress has been worn twice for short periods, cared for as per the label but is now ruined. Have I got a case with Debenhams for a refund? I probably have the recipt or it would be on a credit card statement which I know I have. Thing is it is 8 months since it was bought.

I had this happen to a beige coat with navy detailing. The blue ran when it was dry cleaned and wrecked the coat. I had a devil of a job getting someone to admit responsibility, the dry cleaners blamed the manufacturers and they in turn blamed the dry cleaners. In the end I got a refund from the shop as they sold me the coat which clearly stated it had to be dry cleaned. You will need to be persistant however, and I don't know how much luck you'll have with a big company.0

I had this problem with a beige coat with a red lining from River Island, the label stated dry clean only. The red lining ran into the beige material. River Island were actually very good - after a phone call to the branch where I bought the coat I had to take in a letter from the dry cleaners, stating the cleaning method used, and they immediately refunded the full cost.
I probably wasn't the only person who had this problem with this particular coat and you may find that's the case with your dress at Debenhams....0 -
I returned said dress today to Debenhams. With no discussion they agreed to do me an exchange for the full value of the dress and dry cleaning.
OK so it would be better to have had a refund, but I needed a dress for an event this summer and also got a new top for forth coming holiday. Was great wondering around thinking I've got £110 to spend which in my head was free money!
Well done Debenhams!0
