phone call from energy helpline!
Hi Guys
Has anyone else who's just done the switching process recieved a call from the energy helpline apologising for the fact that it's not been processed yet and offering alternatives?
I only did the switch thingy on 27th Feb and was under the impression it could take weeks - so was somewhat discombobulated to get this call. Or could it be because I did the switch the day before Powergen announced its price rise and they're now taking this into account?
According to them my max saving is now down to 20% (from 38%) (this is with npower online - yet when I use their comparison doo-dad it tells me I could save 39%) or - get this - I could re-sign with BG and pay an extra £76 for the privilege of not having any more price rises for the next two years. (Hollow laugh)
Have told them I will call back on Monday cos brain not working - and hopefully some good words from you folks over the weekend.
Thanks
