My dusting gets done when house needs it or when one of the kids decides to help0

I seem to be doing it all the time and I was wondering how often all other old stylers have to dust?
when i have to move something for some reason and notice it has dust on it
honest, life's too short for dusting (same goes for ironing)
i don't like stirring up the dust anyway, it makes me go all scratchy throated and runny nosed
i don't find our house gets that dusty though
when we had only fireplaces for heat i had to dust regularly thoughfounder of Frugal Genius UK (Yahoo Groups)0 -
I don't DO dust. Occasionally, whil I'm on the phone, I might notice a sooty covering on some things (we have solid fuel heating), and then I'll phewf it away.
That's it, I hoover cobwebs, and wash the TV screen when it looks black and white. Ditto windows looking like night.
Dusting...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

a tip for the dust on the skirting boards and the ubend for the toilet
take off the pipe on your hoover so just the hose is showing and use that to suck up the dust in these areas, works a treat and doesn't make your nose run if dust irritates you like it does mefounder of Frugal Genius UK (Yahoo Groups)0 -
dh,and latterly myself have lung complaint, so go around wiping with damp cloth and vinegar every other day, our little bungalow has very little in the way of soft furnishings, we have melamine floors/tiled throughout. All i know is that if i miss to a third day we cough, am amazed at the buildup of dust especially in bedroom. so its because i have to and not because i want to that i am a dusting freak.:hello:What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -

i DO however clean lightswitches and doors/handles frequently (at least monthly, usually biweekly) it seems more important to me
but hey, whatever floats your boat right?founder of Frugal Genius UK (Yahoo Groups)0 -
I do it 3times a week but only cos I have a severe allergy to dust mites, so dust has gotta go.0

we've no set schedule for dusting - life is too short - so much fun to be had.
my mil is another who checks for dust. worse she lives across the road and ithink running her hands across the tv is a habit for her. she is obsessed with cleaning - so much so she keeps taking the colour off her leather suites.
we're renovating this house at the moment so we seem to have a constant supply of dust. don't get me wrong, i like when house is all clean and tidy but don't lose sleep if there is any dust about.
dss1 made me laugh the other week. the big tv they play games on was dusty and he said " you should really dust this you know" i told him where the duster was and off he went lol.
update dusting is dangerous - dp just got an electric shock - he was listening to me about this thread and rubbed his hand over his games tv while holding the controller in his other hand and got a static shock.!!!!!!!!!!! married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -
I give the house a good once over with polish once a week, usually Monday because it gets messy over the weekend with everyone home from school. For the rest of the week I dust with a micro fibre cloth if I notice it and it's annoying me. My house is far from perfect, but it's a home and any dirt is clean dirt.

I do the lounge about once a week. Everywhere else just gets done when the dust's bothering my asthma.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0
