Are we entitled to anything?

Me and my boyfriend moved into a rented room at the end of last month. We had been out of work since last august, and my boyfriend has recently started a new job (2 weeks ago) and doesn't get paid till the end of April. However we owe our next months rent on the 17th April. We managed to scrape and borrow money for the deposit and the first months rent, but we literally have no money until my boyfriend gets paid at the end of the month.

Are there any type of grants etc that we may be entitled to help us out until we have some money coming in?

You could try for a crisis loan

Did the job centre mention "Job Grant" when you / he signed off?
  • yes he was told about that but you have to have been out of work for 6 months or more, and he was just under :(

    whats a crisis loan?
