Beware- we went to Cyprus last year and paid 400 euros to come home a week early because we hated it. Maybe it was the area we went to? I dont know but I saw the adverts you are talking about and laughed my head off because what they showed was nothing like what we saw!

We went to the Maldives last August for 2 weeks and only had a little bit of rain.

Our honeymoon was the priority and we booked the wedding around the date of the flights :rotfl:. We're now saving to go back for our 5th anniversary :D.
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Tropical countries like the Maldives never really have bad winters. Yes, they have the rainy season but it normally rains for 10 minutes and then it stops and the sun is out again. It’s our dream to go there and I really would not let the rain ruin it. Like it was said, it is a lot cheaper to go around June/ July so, in my opinion it is a win-win situation.
