Cathy - i would say it depends on the child - i have 2 girls, 12 yr old & 10 yr old who share a room - so i say they can watch tv in there room they go up to there rooms at 8 sometimes earlier but always by 9pm but it has to be off by 10.
Usually 10 yr old is sleeping by then but 12 yr old sometimes is awake & my 7 yr old is 90% of the time sleeping by 8.30 pm. They are allowed up later on weekends.

Wont be having take away curry from indian in Castletown for a while - it burnt down last night - they think it's arson as forensics are there :( best indian in caithness - NEWS

Just got back from a lunch time walk into town. It's lovely out there - needed my cardi but sunny and warm. Went to Debenhams as I saw a skirt before my holiday that I wanted but decided to wait - now they don't have my size so I think I'll order online instead.

Cool a purple ipod, excellent pp. Enjoy your curry later too. xx

    Dilemma,

how late would you allow an 11yr stay up to?
Monday she wanted to watch ashes to ashes with me, so I let her,
Last night it was come dine with me and again 10pm
Tonight she wants to watch the apprentice,

Is 10pm too late on a school night?

    Depends on the child...:D..

my 7yr old shares with my 13 yr old (but won't settle until her sister's in bed:rolleyes:). I aim for a 9 o'clock bedtime for DD1 unless it's Guides, or JuJitsu which makes it a little later. Have let DD2 stay up til 10 on a school night  - she was desperate to watch a dinosaur documentary :o - but it was strictly on the proviso that she got ready for bed (pjs, teeth, hair) so that the moment it finished she was straight to bed, no messing, and no complaining about getting up in the morning (which to be fair to her there wasn't), and an early night the following day.

Hasten to add I don't make a habit of it though - this was more of a one-off.

An occasional late night won't hurt as she'll make up sleep over the week - it's when it's late nights every night.....

Had an email - my riding clothing's been despatched......:D (better not try to deliver tomorrow afternoon though - DD2 has (yet another) hospital appointment about her teeth (wouldn't mind so much but it's been nearly a year since the accident..........) - what time is it......2.30:rotfl:
