I'm kinda fussy as well. It has to be made with the "right" spoon and she really didn't get that for the first 20 years. Now we're 34 years in she gets it more or less right. :rotfl::rotfl:

Your DS's bloods seem to be really unstable. We never really had much of a problem with our Jon. He could tolerate low glucose levels really well, rarely had a hypo and we had wonderful support from our diabetic nurse. We didn't have the issue of lunchtime jabs 'cos he was on two injections a day with proper syringes. The whole family converted to a low fat, high fibre and "good" carbohydrate diet which was good for all of us.

    He's a brute now :rotfl:

I guess we were really lucky.

How much support do you have?

:hello: Hiya RCB - great to have you back!

I'm still trying to catch up myself after my holiday so can't really help you there, sorry.

OH has spent all afternoon cleaning my car and it's now for sale. We're going for something bigger this time but should really sell this one first before we start looking properly.

yeah they are very up and down, worse that he has this bug now, today at lunchtime mum went to do his injection, blood was 3.4 corrected it etc went to 3.9 then went down to 3.3! this happens a lot, did go up enough for him to go over to lunch but didnt touch anything but wee bit of yoghurt!

his hba1c was 10.3, last clinic went down to 9 but bloods still very up and down, we have a fantastic consultant, and can contact diabetes nurse anytime, but have asked numerous times to do carb counting as we feel the control could be a lot better, nothing ever gets done though

might give her a phone tomorrow as this stupid bug keeps coming back, just feeling a bit emotional today, goes with being exhausted i think, just constantly trying to get his bloods ok, everytime we are at the clinic the insulin needs adjusting one way or the other, really hard to explain to people who dont know what it is like so its great to hear that you managed ok, thanks xx

OH managed to rip his trousers at work today! We managed to get a refund on them though as he's had them less than a month and we had already had an exchange on them as the first pair ripped but in a different place! Made him go for some cheaper ones this time :j

Got some pasta sauce in the reduced section at tesco so i'm going to have that for dinner and maybe watch a film (which means i'll comp and pretend I'm watching and then have to ask what's happening and who's who every 10 mins :rotfl:)

Well done Jenni on winning the Wii!!! I'm saving up Amazon vouchers to buy one but i'm still hoping to win one before then x

Our bloods target was always 4 - 6 tho' Jon could go down to 2 without problems butwhen he looked pale we would give him a glucose sweet. Sickness was always a problem but he would always take fruit juice and digestive biscuits were good.

Alcohol is now the biggest problem for him but then he is 24 :rotfl:

We didn't have hba1c's 'til he was 16 'cos it hadn't been invented
