PPD, I am not sure how correct this is but was told it by the surgery when I had sick kids years ago, and that is when they have vomited keep them off any dairy products til they have been clear for 24 hours. Lots of water, dry toast, biscuits, cereals, but avoid fruit and fruit juice too. Ice lollies are good to keep fluid levels and sugar up, but NO MAGNUMS! I think the theory was something to do with dairy products feeding any nasties still in his tummy so keeping him sick, whereas water will flush it through and keep him hydrated, so I would avoid the yoghurt. However, the yoghurts with live bacteria are good for later to replace the good bugs! And the fruit juice can irritate an already inflamed stomach.

I hope this may help get him back to fighting fit again and hope you don't mind me sharing the advice, I have always found it to be good for my little ones.
But there are dreams that cannot be,and there are storms we cannot weather!

thanks stressed for that:T it was the only thing i could get him to eat, normally wouldnt give him yoghurt, just difficult as he needs to eat for his insulin, if he didnt have diabetes then the advice is not to eat and just give fluids, wouldnt eat at lunch anyway, just when he dropped to 2 an hour later i had to give him something, been giving him sugary juice, wee sips most of afternoon and checking bloods every hour

will try him with some toast later dont mind you saying at all, thanks for that xxxx

he is up watching telly the now so seems ok, need to check his blood again soon, see how he is doing
