Ive always used a card reader to load into PC--just put the SD card in, plug in the reader, and automatcally after a few seconds, you get the prompt "What do you want to do" etc,, however, it no longer does this, ive tried a different Card reader, still the same., the card reader lights, but dosent blink.
However if i go to "My computer" and the "Removable drive" is there and clicking "open", the pictures can be accessed, likewise if i go to "Picasa" and c lik import, the pics are there, so why does the "Auto" facility no longer work?
Downloading from the camera is as normal. Thanks

If you go to "My Computer", right-click the drive and choose Properties, one of the tabs at the top should be AutoPlay. You can choose there the default action, or tick the box if you want to be asked each time.
IIRC this function may have been turned off by a recent Windows Update because it is a security issue, but I may have remembered that wrong.0 -
