Premium bonds and benefits.

Hi,
First time user,please can you tell me if you have to declare premium bonds when claiming benefits such as housing,ctc.etc?

Yes you do . They are classed as capital. (for HB/CTB anyway)

They are classed as capital for any means tested benefits

My old Mum has a massive holding of £3.00 (no zero missing) and I had to supply Council with proof of her holding when claiming Council Tax benefit.
