Experience of i:protect Claims?

Hi there - this is my first post so apologies if I'm missing something obvious elsewhere on the site.
I received a redundancy notice from my employer this week - not entirely unexpected as I was working on a project with a limited life, but there's always the hope that a new project will come up that you can transfer over to.
Anyway, knowing that this was always going to be a risk I took out an income protection plan with iprotect. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience of claiming from them under this type of policy? As with any insurance policy I suppose that there's always a risk that they don't pay out, but as far as I can tell I comply with the conditions about compulsory redundancy and I know that I'll have to sign on for JSA... fingers crossed it will all be ok.
I've been with the company for seven years so was technically permanently employed (so I'm told), what concerns me is that iprotect might turn around and say that I knew my project was going to end and I'm therefore not eligible.
Obviously I'm now frantically looking for another job, but it would be nice to know that the pressure is off a bit!
Thanks for any feedback.
