    Its pretty obvious the wheel will only shoot forward if lubricated with manuka honey. Stronger the better. ;-)

    I would have thought it was because there was less weight, but then I thought this would be counteracted by no force pushing it along.

    I dunno, I'm ill and my mum gave me a note to excuse me from having to think like this.

    Yes there is.
    There's also centripedal foce, but it depends on which frame of reference you are working as to what name you use.
