10-12 Day Cairo+Diving Beach Resort

Hello,

I'm looking for a 10-12 day holiday for 2 adults for July-September 06.

We're planning on spending a couple of days in Cairo sightseeing and the remainder going through the 5 day PADI course at a beach resort (Hurghada or Dahab?). Package should include:

-Flight London-Cairo, flight/train to resort, Flight back to London
-Accommodation preferably in a 4-5* Hotel for at least the diving part of the holiday
-Full day sightseeing tour of Cairo
-PADI course, including equipment rental and a couple of dives

Would anyone have had a similar holiday and a pleasant experience at a reasonable rate or any suggestions on how to go about finding the best rates? Should this be a package deal, book separately?

Many thanks in advance,
Yannis

Sorry, can't answer most of your questions, am sure someone will be along soon, but just wanted to say that I would strongly recommend that you do not attempt to sightsee Cairo on your own, it was pretty daunting at they pyramids, even with a tour guide close to hand, our guide had to come and rescue several of us from the over zealous "camel men" - one who was literally trying to pick me up and put me on the camel as i refused to get on.
You should be able to book a tour of all the main cairo sights whilst you are out there, we did it through an independent co in egypt, also, package holiday tour operators will organise it for you in egypt, or I am sure you would be able to book something in the uk.
BTW, Cairo and seeing all the sights was fab, just for safety and peace of mind, I think you need a guide .
