Skipety appears to have done the right thing by having the car examined by a garage but are we all experts in hydraullics, particularly those hidden away with no visible sign of leaks?
Yeah a tad harsh or as you say maybe just looks harsh written down, I found out through experience, i.e paid for one to be done then the other went, and after googling found its common.
And yes the slave cylinder isnt visible so you cant really check. (well other than checking the clutch fluid reservoir under the bonnet, if the fluid level has dropped it has a leak somewhere!)0 -
depends on how much you value your ebay account(feedback)
If HE offered to do the deal outside ebay he is in breach of their T&Cs,
now if he is reguarly selling cars via ebay suggest to him that he pays part of the repair and you will not have to report him to ebay for breach of T&Cs resulting in his account being suspendedIMOJACAR

Rover 75 slave cylinder is inside the gearbox housing, Master cylinder attatched to clutch pedal, sealed unit although they can be topped up with a syringe but not at all simple.
