How can I make something smaller?

Can you tell me how I can make something smaller on the computer screen so that it only takes a section of the screen up?
I'm trying to put two things up at the same time so that I can transfer one to the other.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Put your curser over the edge of the screen until it changes to arrows pointing in 2 directions then LEFT click (keep holding) and DRAG

I've been all the way up and down both sides but it's not changing from the normal arrow.

You have to double click or you know where the cross button is on the top right hand corner? To close the browner? Click the middle one instead, then do what Rik said to do :)
I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:

Oh No, while I've been trying that on this page (and it worked beautifully) I've noticed that the original page which I mimimized has disappeared.
    Can I get it back?

You'll have to re-open it to get it back I think.

Sorry I'm a complete numpty, can you tell me how to re-open it?
I'm panicking now because it's photos I've just put on from my camera so I don't want to lose them.

Did you save them anywhere on you PC? If not, try your start drive-recent docs and see if they're in there? Or MY pictures etc.

No, that's what started this in the first place. I was going to put them in My pictures but instead of coming up small like it usually does it filled the whole screen so I wanted to make it smaller. Then because I wanted to come on here I thought I would mimimize the photos to see this and I accidently clicked maximize instead!
I have still got the camera connected but I don't know if the photos are still in it.

Normally, on mine anyway, it will ask if you want to erase the camera once transferred onto PC. If you didnt do this then try to copy them over from the camera again if you dont know where they are. Before you do anything though, I would open a new folder on your desktop and save them all into that so you know where they are.

The thing is, when I take the photos off the camera, I plug it into the tower and switch the camera on to view and then it just comes up on the screen automatically. It's still on view now so do you think I should switch it off and then back onto view?

Please don't go to bed before I've sorted it out because I'm in a right panic.
