split ticketting nottingham to kings lynn

I have already posted on the holidays board but I thnk this is probably the more appropriate place.

My mum is travelling to Kings Lynn from Nottingham on 11th April, returning on 16th April (she is going to Hunstanton but getting picked up at Kings Lynn, so if Hunstanton is cheaper that will do). She is over 60 and has a half price travelcard to local stations (going to Grantham is half price). One return ticket to Kings Lynn is about £39. Could anyone help me get it any cheaper? Had a look with a couple of stations but is usually the same or more.

Any help appreciated.

The first bus X1 runs every 30 mins from Peterborough to Great Yarmouth via Norwich and Kings Lynn and is cheaper and quicker than the train between Peterborough and Lynn and go rail station to rail station

And don't forget you can buy the bus tickets from the railway station.
Also I believe its cheaper.
Also Railcards CAN be used on these fares.
