Sorry Annie - I assumed this was a joke thread.
Didn't realise you were serious.
Thing is Labour are to be kicked out, they've had long enough, noses in the trough, corrupted now. So whoever comes next doesn't matter, as long as it's not Brown.
In some ways it's a shame there isn't a more serious political debate, but hey, that's what happens when you give people the vote.0 -

Because I can Quote that Figure uner The Tories.
Along With 4 million unemployed,.
15% interest on £65k is 5% on £195k. It's the same thing.
We'll have 3 million unemployed soon .....and counting.....0 -
How was 39 Victoria Street today?
How much do they pay you to post this stuff?
After the election will you look to do the same job for the Tories?islandannie wrote: »http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/blair/Remember-life-under-Tories.2867180.jp

Give it ten years and you can change it to 'Labour government' and elicit even stronger reactions.
I have a nasty feeling (and I truly hope I'm wrong) that the 70's are going to seem easy compared to the !!!!!! storm we're walking into...think it's bad now??? It's only just started.
And some of us are trusting the architects of the bust to get us out of it. If they couldn't stop it with their wonderful insight how the heck are they going to make it any better exactly??
And no, I don't think a Tory government would have done it any differently either. :rolleyes:If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got.

We're OK as long as Gordon is at the helm.
"And I tell you we have learned from past mistakes. Just as you cannot spend your way out of recession, you cannot, in a global economy, simply spend your way through recovery either."

If we had a Labour goverment over the last ten years it might not have been so bad0
