Valuation of garden

The owner of the basement flat owns the garden. I have discussed the possibility of buying a half-share in the garden. The surveyor has valued the land and i'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a current value per square foot/metre which is used?
Any help would be greatly aprreciated.

I don't think there is such a figure, the value of land varies considerably depending on it's use, location, accessibility, the postcode it's in (e.g. land in Central London will have a high price), etc.
Your best bet is to get an independent surveyor to give another valuation.0
