Flying out from Gatwick 17th March - tips & help please!?

The advantage of arriving early is that you can get a good seat! This is invaluable for long haul. Gatwick has all the usual shops, including Boots where you can buy food. Sharp things not to include in your hand luggage include tweezers and nail scissors - have been caught out on this myself! Take your own headphones from a walkman/IPOD etc to plug into the plane's sound system, otherwise they tend to sell you a crap pair - I try not to forget this! A good book is an idea too - mind you isn't that an essential item for a holiday anyway?0
