Settled accounts missing from my credit report

About 3 years ago, I closed down various store cards and credit cards. I did obtain a copy of my credit report at the time to ensure they were all marked as settled accounts. However, the last time I checked my credit reports, some of these accounts seem to have disappeared, even though it has been less that 6 years from closing them.
Can anyone think why this would happen?

No, sorry.
No idea.0 -
Were they only at an old address and not at your current address? Don't know if that would make any difference though.0

When were they opened? There was no record of my NatWest credit card on my credit report last year because it was opened in 1997. Back then the bank wasnt obliged to report all the info to the credit agencies, but things have changed since. If you opened an account around about that time it could be the same reason.0
