Hi not really sure how to explain this i have windows vista and all of a sudden it looks very odd to look at all the icons on the desk top seem to be the normal size i have tried to alter the icon size to see if that make a difference. However the screen can only be discribed as smokey, you can see everything on the screen it all just looks fatter then normal and not as crisp. i have also checked the option of graphic options and panel size but that makes it worse.
All idea welcome i can still manage to use it fine its more my ocd coming into play than anything else

When you boot it up, or on the screen when you use it, do the words 'Safe Mode' appear?
Sometimes if Windows crashes, or can't boot up properly, it will go into Safe Mode which runs only the basic things it needs to allow you to log on - typically if there's a software problem such as a corrupt driver you can use this mode to home in on the problem and, for instance, do a System Restore.
Because Safe Mode uses a very basic graphics driver the screen can look 'old fashioned' as it's very low resolution.
If this is what's happening you need to identify the root cause - and I'm not the man to help with that!
I'm not that familiar with Vista so it could be something else, but worth a thought.Long-haul Supporters DFW 120

I thought it might be screen resolution as well. See if you can change the screen res to a higher setting.0
