Problem with emailing from websites

Strange one this. On some websites, they have a "contact us" section which usually has a list of email address which you click and send the mail. My problem is when I send it, I get the OE box appearing, but nothing happens and then I can't open OE unless I reboot, and when I do, the message is sitting in the Outbox. Weird
