Hello, I wonder whether someone could help me.
I have CITI current account in UK and CITI current account in Poland.
They advertised as global tranfers between Citi branches were free of charge. When I tried to make the transfer it showed that Poland is excluded from that list. So I kindly asked them why I cannot make tranfer between those two account as it states on theis website is can be done in few seconds. I even did a print screen of the website showing that CITI Poland is one of 20 branches included.
I got the message that after few problems they have now excluded this kind of transfers (Poland and Switzerland Citi banks)
If that wasn't for me they wouldn't even update the website, as I told them they cannot do that as the website T&C shows differently.
Now they updated the website and say it wil cost me £25.00 to transfer and take no responsibility for website content dated 31st of March and backwards.
Can they do it?
Is there any institution that will help me in this case? I purely opened bank account with them to avoid any fees and the website confirmed those tranfers are free.

Hi,
Couple of things you might be able to do ....
1. Use a money currency firm ... depends hjow much you are transfering each time .... I do have a couple of companies that I have used to buy Euros, using GBP .... I'll dig out if required.
2. When over there, take money out of cashpoint ... max each day & put into account ....
Mark
EDIT: I have found a couple of companies for you ... MONEYCORP .... 0207 589 3000 & First Rate FX .... 0207 345 5303 ... BE AWARE THESE ARE COMPANIES I HAVE NOT USED ... SO CAN NOT RECOMMEND.
Also look at the top of Martins website - under travel ... I think there is a good article that leads you to a page on here, where you can put in the amount required & it will tell the best places .... not sure whether that is transfering money, or just picking up?
Hope that helps. MarkWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
