House Prices Up - Do i cancel my sale?
Comments

            dear all
 thanks for all the comments
 largely constructive
i assure you i wasnt winding anyone up
 it was a serious thought
although i think some misinterpreted my thoughts
i have no desire to pull out of the sale
remember though we are losing here anyway (selling for less than we paid)
we dont want to be greedy, my concern is we sell this week at the bottom of a market i.e. we have got the min price for our house
and then we start to rent tied in for 6 months min and the prices rise each month, meaning the house we end up buying will cost more than it does today? i hope this makes sense
ps i am not sure what was meant by STRs ??0

STR is sold to rent (people who sold to rent forecasting the drop).
God luck, hope your sale is successful.0

Don't worry, prices are not going to rise in the next 6 months. - we're not quite at the bottom just yet.0

If this is the bottom of the market and I assume you are buying sometihng bigger, it's the IDEAL time to sell, if you pull out and prices go up by 10% you are only making it a larger pricing gap between your current property and those further up the ladder.matched betting: £879.63

£210k in the bank NOW seems good, and much better than a MAYBE £220k or whatever, sometime later..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0

Sell. Don't be stupid and succumb to the greed that got everyone into this mess in the first place. These figures are not representative of the whole of the market and could be based on anything. The thicko media are jumping on the bandwagon and so are the sheeple in thinking that the housing market is recovering. If you can get 200k for it then sell it because you probably won't get that if you don't.0
