Gap Stop Garage Door Seal

Has anybody used one of these?

We have a concrete floor with an old up and over metal garage door. There is a gap at the bottom (I'll measure how much) that means leaves and dirt get blown in and some rain too.

Thanks

i sealed my garage door , then took it off again

although the leaves are annoying , the slight draft in there helps keep the car dry

the one i used was like a brush on a plastic strip , i needed several strips

just offer it up so the brush just makes contact with the floor and screw it on

I had loads of trouble with leaves and rain getting under my garage doors.

I got several old sheets and laid them, scrunched up to make a barrier about six inches wide, behind the doors.

They block the leaves and they absorb the rain but quickly dry again. No more flooded garage floor:j .

My dad had exactly the same problem, and being a keen DIY-er came up with his own solution. A length of wood, about 1/2" square and cut to length to match the width of the garage door. Screwed down to the garage floor on the inside of the door, having coated the bottom edge with a thin bead of silicon sealant first ( obviously take the time to measure its position correctly in relation to the garage door ). Result - a nice 'lip' on the garage floor that butts up neatly against the door when closed. Keeps all the rain and stuff out. And being only 1/2" high, easy enough to drive over ( for those that do actually keep their car in the garage ! ) Quite a neat solution I thought, and cost pennies to make ( using old offcuts of wood that he happened to have lying around ). But then, my dad always did like tatting around and coming up with Heath Robinson fixes :-)
