I've looked on the thread for this and read the article. All seems a bit out
of date. Am looking for a good healthcare cashback plan. Want to the cover
the costs of dental checkups and heath check ups. Standard stuff really
Can anyone suggest who would be a good company to go with
Many Thanks

Maybe try National Deposit (formed 1868)? It may not be what your looking for and is more expensive than cashplans From: £20 per month for individuals, £50 per month for families (you can get half of this back) but it also covers you for alot more too. i.e. it will pay for things like operations, stays in private hospitals, cancer drugs and everything that the usually much more expensive private medical insurance covers you for.
Its not strictly a cashplan as it doesn't give you the cashback. Like Private medical insurance they pay hospitals etc direct so you do not even have to pay anything out of your own pocket to start with.
The big plus points with National deposit are:- Your scheme will NEVER EVER go up in premium unless you decide to put in more regardless of age or claims.
- A £10 'top up' gets you an additional £30,000 worth of EXTRA cover from day one.
- 50% of your unclaimed premium you can actually get back as it gets put into a personal account for you (similar to a bank account).you receive a 10% interest bonus on this after 5 years and 2% thereafter.
- National Deposit also cover dental and optical expenses (please see attached brochure). This over and above what most PMI schemes will cover you for.
- On an individual scheme when you claim, 10% ( this can be 10% - 45% depending on age and if you have family on, again please see their brochure) comes out of your personal account and the rest is paid by National Deposit. With the £10 top up you also get an extra £30,000 if you should need it.
- There is NO 6 week option/wait.
- There is NO hospital list as you can go to any registered private hospital/clinic/ward in thecountry (Harley Street, Bupa etc).
- No Excess to pay.
- Bills paid directly to the hospital still.
- You can stay on this scheme till you the day you die (without it ever going up) and then pass it on with the rest of your estate to your children if you so wish either in the form of a healthcare policy or as an account with money in.
- No annual contract, you can cancel at any point in time without penaty and take half your unclaimed premiums back.
It dosen't cover you for an eye test but does cover you designer glasses, lenses, frames, contact lenses, disposable contact lenses, repairs, laser eye treatment, prescription sunglasses etc0
