Last of my cards came today. :)
Now I want to use them towards a TV in John Lewis.
I am a tad apprehensive that they will be declined in a busy electrical department as it will have to be a split transaction on 7 cards :o plus cash.
Do you think I'd be better trying to use them in a quieter department to buy JL vouchers and then use the vouchers to get the TV?
Do they charge to buy vouchers?

Anyone had any experience of Magnum cards in JL?

    Thanks! :)

I'm a bit of a wuss and would probably find a nice assistant at a quiet till and explain how I got the cards and see if they go through, buy vouchers and then go over to electricals and exchange for a TV. On the other hand John Lewis service is impeccable so they might be more helpful in the TV department than other stores. They definitely don't charge to buy vouchers. You could call CS and see what they say.

Just to let you know I went to JL today and went to customer services with my Magum cards.
The sales assistant said they had received an email about the cards but she had yet to see one!
Anyway, all went through easily and I swapped them for vouchers and used the vouchers to buy my TV.
She said that they could have only used 2 cards for split transcations anyway so vouchers was the best route.

Thought I would report back in case anyone else wanted to use them in JL. :)

This happened to me - easy solution. On the login page theres a link 'forgotten user pass code'. Use that and you'll be sent both codes.

Has anyone had a transaction not go through? Used one in Morrisons weeks ago, had a bit of a palaver with supervisers phoning supervisers (there was nobody behind me when I tried or I wouldn't have done it :o), but eventually they accepted it, I walked away happy and I forgot about it. Decided to try putting the remainder on Paypal today, and checked the balance and it's still at the full amount! I put another card into paypal successfully checked the balance after and it had instantly went to £0 so I'm pretty sure there's no way it's going to go through now. I suppose I shouldn't lose any sleep over Morrisons losing £40, I did buy the Magnums from them after all! But I do feel a bit guilty for the checkout lady and the superviser who were very nice and bent over backwards to put it through :o

Oooh, I'll check mine tomorrow. Got a pile of them with £1/£2 left on that I was going to use to pay off the phone bill bit by bit. Hopefully Magnum may have made a few mistakes to make up for all of our stress during the comp! ;)

Have nearly spent all mine now. I brought a 22" tv from amazon and a new digital camera. Purchased some clothes in th sale, and spent a couple in the supermarket.

Just want to say thank you to the op once gain, this was one of the best comps on here (in the end lol) and I was very lucky with it , so thank you :j

    Help please,

I have mixed my cards up and I am not sure which balances are on each. Does anyone know how to check the balances, Magnum site is no good as you don't put the card number in, you use the codes received by email - and there is no way of linking the cards to the codes (not unless someone out there can tell me how, PLEASE, also I have binned all the letters received with the cards)

    Thanks in advance
