but as a consolation they'll send me a voucher for a free Magnum :eek:

My kids just had their last Magnum and told them to savour it because we will not be having them in for a loooong time. I rebelled in Tesco and bought some nice, fruity Rocket Lollies.

Congrats to all winners, and big fingers crossed for those still waiting for wins. I am up to £800. I started out wanting to win enough to buy some new bedroom curtains and the second series of Damages on DVD so I shall enjoy getting those, and then the 9 year old hoover broke, so a reacement can be bought. The rest will be stashed away in my amazon account to buy christmas pressies.

Orange_Plastic, your posts have made me chuckle, I do hope you stic around, and also the warm feelings and positive vibes from everyone on this thread have been great. I haven't bee able to contribute as much as I would have liked to, as I have been entertaining and force feeding Magnums to overseas relatives for the past few weeks, but have been lurking regularly.

Good Luck for the next few days of WEM's, and may we all meet on the next big comping thread
  • Vibes for calash too in the last few hours of the comp please!

Actually, in one very important way this comp has done me a massive favour. It has actually made me WANT to start a massive healthy eating/detox diet.

Spending a year on high dose steroids means I've regained all the weight I previously lost the last time I came off them - but now I actually cannot face sweet things anymore.

I'm craving cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and extra virgin olive oil (the really peppery kind)

Seeing the specialist again tomorrow with a huge hope that I might be able to start coming off the steroids - so combine that with my new loathing of ice cream and I could be onto a winner here! Cheers Magnum!!! ;)

Ah, I'm going to miss this thread so much. Is that really sad? I love you all :smileyhea And how I will cope without our resident poet, Mr Cornelius, is anyone's guess!

Oh wow! Just realised where you got my name from and that I'd left a lot of personal information in that post!! That could be why I got a phishing email this morning! All those details removed now...

Just assumed you were being rather blase about the whole thing! You left a ton of info in so I thought you either A) realised and didn't care or B) had added deliberately false info to throw us all off the trail ;)

I'm going to miss it. I think I've started living in it. If you let me know when the next comp like this is, I'll be there and again try haplessly to be entertaining, helpful or completely banal depending on the time of day or night. Did you get my email address at the same time as my surname? ;-)

My neighbour suggested saving an empty ice cream tub and chopping/mashing Magnums into it so it's like a normal tub of ice cream with bits of chocolate in. I like this idea because then it's always there for dessert but not there in the form of a triple-sized choc-ice to stuff in one's face at the first sign of sunshine/hunger/greed.
