Looking for a good digital photography guide

Hi
I'm after a digital photography guide, I've just looked at some in a few stores but wanted to ask for recommendations here too.
I want one with colour photgraphs in and also a section on using apps like photoshop would be good too, all the ones I looked at seemed to follow the Hardware>Photo Taking>Photo Manipulation format, which was ok apart from I don't really need the hardware part. I don't want to spend more than £20 if possible and was looking at these three on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1584503564
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1592001149
I was just wondering if anyone had opinions on them or better ones I should check out?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, but I'm after something I can read and hold in my hands rather than just an online based guide.
