Daventry Indian Restaurants

Took advantage of the recent De Vere hotel room offer and I'm off to Staverton Park Hotel on Saturday. I'm a curry lover and wonder if someone can recommend an Indian Restaurant for me in Daventry. Thanks in advance..

My friends and I often go to the Shahi lounge on the high street. Their Mon - Thurs deal is about £7.50 and for that you get a starter, main meal, rice or naan, vegetables between two, pinapple fritters for dessert, after eights and as much coffee as you want...! It's a nice little place (albeit once visited by Michael Schumacher!) and the staff are friendly.

Or Pappadums on the same street, above Nationwide bank is also good. 16 of us ate and drank lots for less than £200 not long ago. Service was good, very attentive.

We were staying in Davenry a few months ago and ate at the Shahi, my main memory was the smell of dry rot!

We ended up at the Shahi and thought it was okay. Got another Devere deal booked so we shall be trying Pappadums next time

we are gonna go to pappadums next week to make sure it is still OK as we have a big group of friends coming to stay again in June.

We went ant tested out Papadoms last night. It was good and v busy, we had to wait for a table (on a wednesday night!).I would recommend it.

I would recommend Shahi or The New India Cottage on Warwick Street. Both reasonably priced and great food. Haven't been to Papadoms for ages - might have to go at the weekend for my birthday.

We went back to Daventry this weekend and we tried Papadoms this time, I was very impressed with the food and thought the price was very reasonable too. If we return to Daventry again I will be paying it another visit.
