What spam? Has it been removed and was it nothing to do with this thread, or am I missing something?0

am i correct in saying that everyone who has recived 1% of their transferred balance as cash back on their egg money card transferred the balance over the phone?
i transferred a positive balance off my egg money card into my current a/c over the phone on sunday which has shown on my egg money statement but i have not been given any cashback. so i would quess from that that either the loophole has been shut or i transferred the balance in the wrong way!!0 -

To clarify, the cashback showed up on my subsequent *statement* (ie not 'recent transactions') so you won't see it unless you've had a proper statement since you phoned up anyway. Also, although I can't imagine it makes a difference, I transferred into my egg savings account rather than a current account, but as I said, I can't see that this would make a difference. And lastly, the cashback hasn't actually been credited to my account yet - it's just showing up on the statement as 'cashback to date' so I'm guessing they could easily change their mind. But here's hoping0 -

I just phoned them up and transfered into my egg savings account. Not sure exacly by what method that would have been, but it took a few days to show up iirc.0 -

my actual statement was produced one day after the balance transfer went through (the actual transfer shows on the statement) and i have definetely not got 1% of the balance as cashback showing. i guess i either transferred it wrong or they have cottoned on. good if you got it though!!0 -
Just to point out that in order to do any balance transfer 'to' Egg Money at the moment you have to phone and request this because the website currently contains to links to BT to Egg money (only to BT to Egg card green).....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0

I'm aware that the 'move money' tab defaults to the Egg Card and has caught a few people out, but the following seems to work for Egg Money...
Click Egg Money 'view' in the 'your account' summary table.
Click 'Egg Money Admin'
Click 'Transfer a balance'
Choose 'overdraft', 'credit/store card', or 'loan'.
...or have I misunderstood you?0 -

The other possibility might be that you are already up to you maximum cashback. You are only allowed £200 cashback max in any 12 month 'cash back period' which ends in Feb or March, with payment in March, so we are now at the very end. (And hopefully I'll know by Monday whether I'm going to actually get it or not!) This was a new account for me, so I haven't gone over that, even with my two transfers, but if you've been using the card heavily for the last year... Or maybe even if the cashback you would have recieved would have taken you over that limit, maybe they don't honour any of it? I don't know. Anyway, you can see the info by clicking the 'learn more about cash back' link directly under where your cashback is quoted on the statement.

Why do you think we will know on monday InMyDreams? I was thinking we will only know once the next payment date has passed, which for me is 23rd March.0

Balance transfers
Transferring balances from credit cards, loans and overdrafts is easy:
Simply select the 'Move money' tab at the top of the page, then choose the option to 'Make a balance transfer to your Egg Money card' and follow the on-screen instructions.
...and when you do this you go to a page with the 'default' option:
"Make a balance transfer to your Egg Card' - the other EM option not existing there.
[Anyway, I don't know if it will attract a cashback - that wasn't the reason I wanted to do it - but it would be nice if it did].....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0
