unemployed unable to go back to work

in Credit cards
I am unemployed now . and unable to go back to work .. due to an illness.
My income on gov' benefits bring in roughly the same as the minimum wage.
So I can cope on a small amount borrowed.
I feel i need to borrow one day.. if say .. the washing machine broke or I find my children have outgrown their beds!! I have never had a credit card. but now I think its time for the odd emergency. Plus I dont leave my house.. so maybe it will be useful now I am online... for shopping too.
please can anyone tell me, if there is any cards that except poeple unable to work?
I know of a single mother that is on capital one .. but payin abit more intrest than some cards mentioned on this site.
